Brown Trout Mermaid

The Brown Trout’s tough reputation inspired me to paint this beautiful species.  I wanted to capture the side that fishermen see; a tough, beautiful, hard to catch game fish.  The dark and cloudy skies represent the Brown Trout’s favorite weather.  She has a broken off Royal Wulff Fly in her arm and the broken Fly Rod she carries as a warning to those who dare to try and catch her.
